Warrick graduated from University of Cape Town in 1989.  In 1993 he furthered his studies at L’ecole de Mouvement de Jacques LeCoq, in Paris. From 1995 to 1997 he was the Artistic Director of Bantam Theatre, France. On returning to S.A. in 1998, he founded the Cape Town Theatre Lab, and was instrumental in training fresh talent, developing new scripts and creating festivals. Since 2002  he has worked as an actor, director, and writer in film, commercials, theatre, and more recently, as a producer based in Cape Town. He is a recipient of numerous awards.

Michael has had a varied media career: from sound-man to director, producer and script-writer of dramatic short films and features; as an on line and off line editor of news, dramas, and documentaries; international feature films in the Namib to news cover of a post civil war election in Mozambique; from the Balkan war to the Africa Cup of Nations in Zimbabwe; from setting the agenda of an international news agency in London to performing and song-writing for the world famous Aeroplanes beat combo.
